As for information, the fire burned 21 RTs of 3 RWs, Manggarai Urban Village, on August 13 ago and impacted 1,172 families. Previously, Jakarta Provincial Government gave three-month free rent at Pasar Rumput Flat.

"Hopefully they will get their life back here," he added.

The Indonesian Minister of PKP, Maruarar Sirait, emphasized his request for Perumda Pasar Jaya to provide free Pasar Rumput Flats for a year for victims of the Manggarai fire. This is to meet the needs of residents' housing.

"We are cooperating to maximize the existing assets. Thanks to extraordinary cooperation with the Acting Governor," he stated.

Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, explained the government's effort to give free rent fee is the request of President Prabowo. The policy is prioritized for lower class people with low income.

"The main priority is for the low class people who don't have house. That's the instruction of the president," he explained.

Jakarta Provincial Government is asked to monitor and evaluate the policy to prevent units to be rented out to other people. So that the policy can be right on target.
